Motivated by our love of travel and the planet, 360tourisme helps our clients adopt a more sustainable approach to tourism communication in France. Tourism can and must have a positive impact, improving the lives of inhabitants while inspiring travelers.

  • Professional equipment: We use laptops instead of desktops as they consume 50 to 80% less energy. We keep them in excellent condition and use them to their full capacity. We repair, recycle, or donate them to associations like Recycléa before replacing them. We prioritize second-hand equipment through companies like BackMarket and Scop3.
  • Computer settings: We program sleep mode after 5 minutes of inactivity (without animated screensavers) and turn off computers each night (via a power strip). We reduce screen brightness, back up data externally, only accept corrective software updates to avoid slowing down tools, and take care of digital tools to extend their lifespan (360tourisme provides a protective computer case to prevent damage from shocks).
  • Web searches: We use eco-friendly search engines like Ecosia or Lilo as our default, since they fund social and environmental projects for free.
  • Bookmarks: We create a list of favorites to avoid unnecessary search engine queries, and close unused tabs to prevent needless page refreshes.
  • Emails :
    • Emails consume a lot of energy, so we consider their necessity before sending them. Internally, we prioritize verbal communication or transfer documents via USB (This is also a friendlier way to do things). Externally, a phone call is often enough, quicker and more efficient than a chain of emails.
    • We adapt the recipient list based on who truly needs the information, since emailing pollutes, even if invisibly.
    • We limit attachments: Internally, everyone has access to the same network, allowing us to share links to files instead. Externally, we favor lightweight documents such as low-definition PDFs and use WeTransfer or similar solutions for large files.
    • We immediately delete unnecessary emails (newsletters we’ve already read or saved links from, etc.) and spam (we have an anti-spam program installed). We regularly clear out sent and deleted folders.
  • Email signatures: We create a signature without a logo for internal use and known contacts, and a signature with a logo for external communication and new recipients.
  • Newsletters: We unsubscribe from unwanted newsletters.
  • Hard drive: We store as much data as possible locally on the computer’s hard drive, provided it doesn’t hinder collaboration with colleagues. The less we use the network or cloud, the less energy servers consume.
  • Business cards: We create business cards with a QR code that we invite partners to scan, rather than handing out physical cards, thus reducing our amount of printed material.

  • Website: Eco-designed and hosted in France by OVH.
  • Working remotely: We reduce our travel to lower greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality.
  • Video conferences: Before organizing an in-person event, we prioritize virtual meetings that save time and reduce emissions.
  • Business trips: When travel is necessary due to a full day of meetings, belief that there will be significantly better results than with virtual meetings, etc., we prioritize low or zero emissions methods of transportation: walking (10,000 steps/day for health), cycling, or using public transportation—every effort counts.
  • Water: We refill water bottles instead of buying plastic ones, and pay attention to unnecessary water usage, like leaking taps and dual-flush toilets.
  • Electricity: We use LED bulbs, turn off unnecessary lights, and shut down computers every night. Small actions have a big impact.
  • Heating and air conditioning: Set at 19°C in winter (heating is turned off during a daily 10-minute evening airing), we clear any obstacles to air circulation and insulate areas where energy escapes. In summer, we air out the office each morning, then block light and heat. If needed, we use a fan instead of air conditioning.
  • Air-purifying plants: We surround ourselves with them to create a pleasant workspace, reduce stress, and boost productivity.
  • Homemade, local, and organic meals: We favor eco-responsible caterers and reusable cutlery.
  • Sorting and waste: The best waste is what we don’t produce, but otherwise, we sort everything possible.
  • Music: We download music or use platforms like Deezer, Spotify, and YouTube rather than streaming, which overuses servers.
  • Computer: Every quarter, we uninstall unnecessary software and apps. Every year, we dust the computer, delete obsolete data, and defragment the hard drive for optimal performance.
  • Printing: We ask ourselves if printing is necessary (for documents requiring a signature, we sign electronically). If it is, we prefer black and white, eco or draft mode, double-sided, and use recycled or FSC/PEFC certified paper. We reduce margin size and remove unnecessary elements from the print area. We choose ink-saving fonts (like Garamond, Ryman Eco, or Ecofont). We use scrap paper for less important prints and software like PrintFriendly to clean web pages of unnecessary elements (ads, etc.). We recycle empty ink cartridges and toners.
  • Supplies: We avoid unnecessary stock and order only what we need. We prefer refillable supplies and eco-responsible suppliers like EcoBuro and UnBureauSurLaTerre (or local shops).
  • Corporate gifts/goodies: If they make sense, we choose useful ones (notebooks, insulated bottles, lunch boxes, reusable bags), eco-designed (cardboard items, fountain pens), or even intangible gifts (theater tickets, vouchers for craft workshops).
  • Commitment: 360tourisme encourages its employees to participate in responsible tourism events (e.g., ATD’s Sustainable Tourism Universities) and donates part of its apprenticeship tax (13%) to an institute for people with disabilities.

  • Subcontractors: We prioritize those engaged in responsible practices (e.g. zero-waste caterers, bike couriers, partners that are members of the ATD community).
  • Printing companies: We make sure that the printing companies we work with follow eco-friendly practices and use vegetable-based inks. We avoid plastic lamination, and we print fewer business cards by using digital business cards (with QR code).
  • Events: We choose locations close to public transportation, eco-design the booths (recyclable or reusable materials, rented furniture), work with organic and local caterers, and manage waste (opting for reusable or cardboard tableware over single-use plastic).
  • Alignment: We prioritize partnerships aligned with our vision, promoting sustainable products and experiences, and focusing our energy on projects that avoid:
    • long-haul trips under 5 nights
    • captivity of living beings (zoos, aquariums) except for cultural exceptions that are not harming those beings (endemic species sanctuaries, rodeos)
    • recreational activities harming living beings (recreational hunting & fishing, including catch & release) vs. survival (e.g., indigenous tourism)
